The Community Programs Office is an organizational structure of the Department of International Relations, intended for implementing and coordinating programs funded by the European Commission in the field of education and training, as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) 2007 – 2013.

The tasks of the Community Programs Office are:

  • to apply the strategy of the University in terms of participation to community programs targeting education and training, to promote those programs in the University and to provide the optimal framework for participation of interested academic community members in these programs;
  • to apply equal opportunities policies for all categories of participants or candidates, avoiding any discrimination and implementing quality in such activities;
  • to propose priority directions and options to the University management on the types of projects, partners and study fields considered and to supervise the application of approved priorities;
  • to counsel potential candidates interested in participating in and/or initiating Erasmus projects of various types (mobilities, placements, Erasmus mundus);
  • to prepare regulations for organizing selection processes and submit them to the University Senate; selection criteria must be clear, correct, transparent and non-discriminatory;
  • to coordinate the selection process for mobility candidates;
  • to organize and monitor student and faculty mobilities through the above-mentioned programs;
  • to manage financial contracts concluded with ANPCDEFP to finance, organize and monitor student and faculty mobilities.
